Linux System Administrator

Description


Your Responsibilities:

You will be working on high-performance / low-latency production systems distributing in the region of 30,000 market data ticks per second, and clocking calculations at the rate of 500 teraFLOPS. You will be involved in building and maintaining the architecture in line with future requirements, updating and modernizing the current systems and troubleshooting activities. You will be working in close cooperation with the teams who create and maintain the real-time applications running on this systems.


Requirements


Required Experience:

– In-depth Linux system administration experience

– Strong Linux scripting and automation skills (Bash, Perl)

– Experience in integrating Linux with Windows (users, active directory, network shares)

– Strong network administration and IT security experience

– Strong experience in architecting and tuning IP networks (TCP, UDP multicast)

– Solid understand of network based storage systems and protocols (NFS, SMB/CIFS, ZFS)

– Experience in MySQL administration (replication, performance adjustments, security)

– Previous experience in selecting and procuring network hardware

– Experience working with remote data centres

– Preferred experience in low-latency environments & high performance grid computing

– Good verbal and written English communication skills

– Ability to travel up to 10% of the time (annual)
