Colleges – Business School and Alumni
ANNUAL REVENUE TARGET

 Minimum $250K – $400k ANNUALLY – 10-20 product sales

TERRITORY

 Heavy Northeast orientation – Baltimore to Boston


Requirements


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Lead the sales and client management efforts in the region/channel

Develop and maintain a high probability sales pipeline of active proposals that is consistently 3x goal

  • $1mm-$1.5mm in pipeline is needed
  • Active development and management of targets
  • 100+ calls per month
  • 25+ physical meetings per month
  • Strategic discussion of deal probability risks and mitigation strategy 

Understand the universe of opportunity

  • Establish and manage market intelligence gathering on each prospect
  • Understand product utility by channel and client
  • Update management weekly on prospective clients and interactions versus goal
  • Establish a multi-year strategic sales plan

Provide input and routine updates on new and existing product development requirements

Achieve agreed sales metrics, evidenced by:

  • Number of target client and intermediary presentations
  • Volume of documented call reports
  • Value of new business contracted
  • Value of high to medium pipeline
  • Market share growth
  • Cross-sell generation

Development and management of the Convergence intermediary strategy

  • Develop and maintain a referral network
  • Build on existing relationships as well as establish new relationships with the intermediary market
  • Establish key strategic relationships with the intermediary market

Convergence Branding

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of marketing, sales and product information for each channel
  • Ensure all products and services have a defined set of marketing & sales, legal, technical and financial models and documentation
  • Work with the centralized marketing function to ensure appropriately targeted marketing and brand awareness

Education


  • Proven track record of data sales capabilities and execution exceeding goal
  • Relevant experience in financial services industry, ideally within the asset management space

Industry skills/experience

  • Sales and business development experience
  • Ability to consult with clients and create solution-driven sales
  • Exposure to outsourcing processes and strategies

  • Ability to actively demo Convergence database and products

REPORTING STRUCTURE

Business Development will report to George Evans, Co-President

 

COMPENSATION

Compensation will be market based and commensurate with experience and seniority. In addition, the successful candidate will receive a competitive benefits package and be eligible to participate in other firm wide bonus and equity schemes
