Emerging Manager Awards nominees revealed

Shortlist honours industry’s top performing newer and smaller funds

Europe’s most promising recent launches feature in the newly-released shortlist for the Emerging Manager Awards, which will honour the industry’s top performing newer and smaller funds.

The awards have been won in recent years by some of the industry’s leading newer names including Greenvale Capital and Caius Capital last year and Serone Capital in 2017.

After the industry’s rebound in performance so far this year, there is strong competition across the 15 categories, which cover all the main hedge fund strategies.

The shortlist features funds managed by Copper Street Capital, Monterone Partners, Credere Capital, Portland Hill Asset Management and Caius Capital.

Winners are being decided by a rigorous process conducted by members of the industry’s investor community.

Greenvale, which outshone peers last year after going long on short-seller target Ocado, won two awards in 2018, as did EG Life Sciences and Titan Opportunities. Winners were drawn from all over Europe and recognised at a gala black tie dinner in the City last November.

This year’s event will take place at Banking Hall, opposite the Bank of England, on 26 November.
